The project is a prefabricated single family residence that is completely off-grid. It only relies on renewable energy sources and isn’t connected to any utilities. The project is utilising age-old principles of site orientation to reduce energy demands. Besides producing all its energy itself and not relying on Propane (a fossil fuel), the construction technology used further preserves and reduces energy demands. The water is fed to the house by gravity at 40 ft. high and 20 psi without any mechanical means. Every part of construction was carefully managed to minimise waste and increase efficiency during construction. The 9-acre site is completely pervious and hasn’t been disturbed.
