The Young Architects Award is given to individuals who have shown exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession in an early stage of their architectural career.
Every March, the State Assembly honors women from across the state for their remarkable contributions to the global and local community and their line of work/business in celebration of Women’s History Month.
Hafsa Burt was chosen by State Assemblyman Bill Quirk as the Woman of the Year and was presented the award at the State Capitol by Assembly Speaker John Perez, and Assembly members Lowenthal and Conway on 3/10/14.
We are proud to announce that Hafsa Burt, owner and Founder of HB+A Architects has been named to ENR’s Top 20 under 40 list for 2013.
The award celebrates the excellence of young design and construction professionals around the state. She was selected by an independent jury from a large field of candidates (largest number of entries since the inception of the award). The candidates were judged on the basis of their career experience; industry leadership; community service; and other factors.
